Master TIME MANAGEMENT ADVICE in 5 Minutes A Day
Life may be short, but when you cannot seem to get everything done daily, the days seem endless. Effective time management is what successful people use to control the flow of their days and their life. With the right tools and suggestions, you can be just as successful, and that is what this post offers.
To better manage the time you have in a day, have a plan for it! Always sit down the night before and make a list of what you must get done. Prioritize everything on the list and cross tasks off one by one as you accomplish them. Get into this habit, and you should reach more goals and have more time in the day.
Maintain a schedule that contains thoughts, activities, and conversations during the week. This provides insight into what you're able to complete in a day and where precious moments go. This schedule shows what time you spend on results and how much you waste on the things that are unproductive to your goals.
Don't be afraid of division! Many of the tasks that look impossible in your to-do list are actually composed of several small tasks. In order to manage your time wisely, break down major tasks into lesser, minor ones. You'll be able to tackle individual parts of a big job one at a time, making progress and maintaining your motivation.

When time is tight, start setting limits on how long it takes you to do things. For example, rather than browsing the Internet when you have to check email, just allow yourself five minutes to read and respond to your messages. Cut out the excess, stop wasting time and keep yourself on schedule.
If you're having a hard time fitting all your tasks into the day, try using a calendar to make things easier. Hang one on your fridge or keep a desk calendar handy at work. Mark your priorities with a given time to get things accomplished and you should be able to operate more efficiently with a little time left over.
If you're always pressed for time, start trying to be early for everything. If you aim to be on time, even a little traffic can mess up your entire schedule by making you late. However, when you do your best to be early, you are often left with a little extra time, which you can then put to good use!
If you want to become an expert at time management, you have to develop a strategy for dealing with distractions. An extraneous problem can make it hard (or even impossible) for you to complete the work you need to do. Try setting aside a fixed portion of your working day for distractions. As they come up, make a note of them and deal with them only when their time has come.

An area that many people have trouble with in time management is setting deadlines. You have to set deadlines and stick to them. Any task you have is going to take a certain amount of time and if you have a deadline for your tasks, your life will run smoothly.
If it is difficult for you to manage your time, concentrate more on each task. Multi-tasking is one of the reasons that people don't accomplish everything they set out to do. If you try to multi-task too much, you will just end up frazzled. Additionally, your work will be of poor quality. Learn to work efficiently and carefully on one task at a time. When the project is complete, move to the next.
If time management is a problem for you, one helpful strategy is to create a daily plan for your day before it even unfolds. When you create this plan for your day is totally up to you. Some people like to plan the next day before going to sleep. Other prefer to do it in the morning. After you plan has been made, you need to stick with it the best that you possibly can.
If you have a task that you have been dreading, break it up into several sittings. If you work on the project for ten or fifteen minutes at a time, you can get through it much easier. You will not have to dwell on the stress and pain that you are going through while doing it.

Keep a journal of your days for a week or two. Include everything that you are doing during the day. Once you have compiled a list of all of your activities, you will be able to find where you are wasting time. This way, you can eliminate any unnecessary activities in the day.
Sometimes, time management problems arise because you do not say "no". When you take on more than you can handle, of course you will not finish all of your tasks on time. When a new task is thrust upon you and you already have a full schedule, either give a firm "no" or defer the task to a later period of time.
When you have too much to do, don't do it all. Look at your to do list and see what you can delegate to others. Anything that can be reasonably passed on to friends, family and subordinates at work all should be. Always do your best, and never use delegation as an excuse to slack off, but make sure everyone is pulling their weight.
Make your lunch the night before. If you go to work every day and think you "don't have time" to figure out your lunch in the morning, do it the night before. That way, you can create your lunch without rushing. Not only that, but that simple step will stop you from spending so much money eating out.
As you have read this post, you should have started understanding just how well proper time management can benefit you. Stop rushing through your day with no idea how you will get it all done. Use this advice, and any other you can find, that will help you get your days to a comfortable level of success.
